Too much of the world lacks access to clean drinking water. Engineer Michael Pritchard did something about it -- inventing the portable Lifesaver filter, which can make the most revolting water drinkable in seconds. An amazing demo from TEDGlobal 2009.
1. Taking shower with a bucket of water and a small container thing for scooping out the water. Yup, just like the good ol' days, although this could be optional if you think this is unconventional, uncool, and especially if you're so lazy to not even give it a try.
2. Using a glass of water in brushing up your teeth instead of letting the faucet flow freely as if water comes from the river Nile. FYI, even Nile River is getting dry.
3. And for water's sake, don't use the dish washer if you only have a spoon, fork, and a plate to wash,ok? Start using your hands! They're not just for poking your game consoles, applying nail polish, and for hmmm.... something else.....
